After the major excitement of penguins the night before, we slept soundly and didn’t hear our apparently noisy neighbours in the hedge during the night. However, a walk down to the beach did confirm all the activity..

Having had a nice chat with a fellow ‘RV-er’ Alan, we sorted out my ‘grey water’ removal problem. Thanks Alan. Alan, born in Tazmania and is retired and now lives with his wife in their RV. They are based on an RV site on a golf course but when the mood takes them, they drive off to see some more of the island. Nice!
I also had a chat with Angelina, who, with her husband, manage the site. They have spent the last 12 years working in different jobs on the west coast of Australia. They started in Sydney and worked their way up to Cairns and then left for Tazmania. They plan to be here for another couple of years (on the east coast next season), and then head to New Zealand. They also have a 4 year old daughter. Brilliant way to see the world!
We leave our camp site and head in to Ulverstone town and park at Staffordshire park.

We leave Ulverstone (we like Ulverstone) and head for Devonport just down the coast. But before we go, I had to take a photo of the town clock. We have noticed a lot of towns have quite unusual clocks..

We arrive in Devonport. Another small town on the north coast.

We the have a quick trip out to Mersey Bluff lighthouse and off to Mersey Bluff beach for the afternoon.

Having taken in the views, temperature had reached 29 degrees so we decided it was back down to the beach for an ice cream. Except we couldn’t find an ice cream seller so had beer instead.

Having spent the last afternoon on the beach, it was time to get back on the road and head for Launceston.
