Day 34 – A driving day

Today we left Waipapa and start our long journey back to Auckland for a couple of nights in the city. Unfortunately, this also means we say goodbye to Kate and the ‘Super 6’ become the famous 5 of ‘the Buddies’, but just for a couple of nights. And, there may be one last catch-up with Kate in Auckland before she flies home.

Sad Kate – not only because she is leaving our little group but because she will miss the ‘in-car’ quiz on the way to Auckland. We loved having you with us Kate. Safe Journey home.

My shortest blog of the trip so far, but there’s not a lot to report on a long drive. Tomorrow we get to have a day exploring Auckland and dinner at the Sky Tower so hopefully there will be a lot more to report.
