Day 30 – We’re on the Road again..

Today we leave Waiheke Island and sadly say goodbye the the ‘Fantastic Five’ as my RTS scheme media assistant and the lovely Debbie leave for Paul’s first solo assignment in Queenstown..

Sad to be leaving
RTS Paul swotting up for his first solo assignment

And we are back on the road for the ferry to Half Moon bay and then the long drive up to Wiapapa by the Bay of Islands.

Goodbye Waiheke Island, we will treasure the memories, especially an amazing wedding!
Lynn catches up with Susan on the ferry.
Hello Auckland! We will see you in a few days.
Happy ferry people.

And we are off the ferry and on our way. It’s a 4 hour drive to Wiapapa so a tea/coffee and cake stop was essential, which we did

For those that like to see we do have cake – Almond and Blueberry Tart.
We also found a very nice disused railway line and I can’t resist an arty shot…
20 minutes later, we did see a train on this track – slightly worrying.

Long drive done, we arrive at our new abode for the next 4 days

Our house, in the middle of…. well, nowhere!

And the Fantastic five, become the Super 6 for a few days

And I’m back. More updates to follow, thou we have got a heavy schedule for the next few days so bear with me.
