Today we depart Christchurch , after another good breakfast at ‘Coffee Lovers’, which is a bit ironic as anyone one knows Me knows I don’t drink coffee!

Having navigated our way out of Christchurch, via countdown for provisions, we head for Lake Takapo. One thing we quickly note is the roads are very straight and very long in New Zealand.

The other thing is there are a lot of signs for ‘View points’ on the roads and thou they are all with a look, if you stop at all of them, you never get to where you are going!

There are also lots of good cafes for a stop and the one we picked did the most amazing real fruit ice creams! Thanks Nicola.#

Finally we arrive at Lake Tekapo and tonight we are very excited as we are on a Stargazing experience with the Dark Skies Team.
