Day 2 and we hit the ground running with the first of our planned visits, first up the Christchurch Gondola, where we ascended Mount Cavendish.

After our mountain adventure, we returned to Christchurch city for a more sedate form of transport, on the tram.

Julie and Lynn attempted to try their hand at ‘tram driving’

but George the actual driver was having none of it!

After all this excitement, we headed for a rooftop bar for beer

Julie then decided that we would benefit from a bit of religion and decided we should visit a church. So Lynn and I agreed on a church to visit…

and a very popular choice it was too!

with live music, thou not everyone agreed it added to the atmosphere but I liked it.

We did to a lot of sight seeing and I took a load of other pictures but I won’t bore you with those now. Stay tuned for day 3 where some local knowledge gets us to somewhere we wouldn’t have gone.
